Chapter 66 - The Triumphant Return

The private Gulfstream jet soared smoothly through the golden afternoon clouds, charting a course back toward Chicago. Inside the luxurious cabin, the atmosphere was thick with joyous celebration. Fine champagne was uncorked, laughter echoed down the aisle, and Eva and Lily were enthusiastically re-watching a video of Marcus’s live keynote on a tablet, cheering every time the audience gave their older brother a standing ovation.

Marcus sat across from Damian, smiling as he closed his laptop and slid it into its leather case. "Well," Marcus said, letting out a relaxed sigh, "that certainly escalated quickly. I didn't think Julian Vance would be foolish enough to attempt a live public cyber hack on international television."

"Arrogance is a fatal flaw in men like Julian," Damian replied smoothly, taking a slow sip of his black coffee. "They spend their entire lives believing that corporate wealth and fancy titles make them untouchable, forgetting entirely that intelligence and unyielding character will always dismantle a house of cards built on greed."

Viktor walked down the aisle from the cockpit, holding a secure communications tablet. "Just received an encrypted update from our legal counsel in Washington, Boss. Julian Vance has been formally indicted on multiple counts of securities fraud, industrial espionage, and cyber terrorism. His venture capital firm is undergoing an immediate court-ordered receivership. Apex Vanguard Capital effectively no longer exists."

"Good," Damian murmured, his dark eyes flashing with cold satisfaction. "Let that be a permanent reminder to anyone in Silicon Valley or elsewhere who thinks they can mess with my family."

Marcus looked over at Damian, a deep, profound sense of gratitude washing over him. The journey from the starving, impoverished tenements of Chicago's West Side to standing victorious on a global stage had been long and treacherous. But looking back at every single trial, every threat, and every shadow they had conquered together, he realized he wasn't just a beneficiary of Damian's protection—he was an integral pillar of a family forged through absolute loyalty, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

When the private jet finally touched down at Chicago’s private airfield under a brilliant sunset, the crisp midwestern air welcomed them home. A convoy of black SUVs transported them back through the iron security gates of the northern estate. As the vehicles rolled up the grand gravel driveway, the heavy oak front doors swung open, welcoming the victors back to their true sanctuary.
