The numbers were clean, verifiable, and entirely free of the clandestine kickbacks that had once plagued the family ledger.
Across the desk, Ryan Vance adjusted his glasses, scanning a summary report from the international trade compliance bureau. "The Rotterdam port authority just cleared our third zero-deviation cargo freighter in a row," Ryan noted with an approving nod. "Insurance underwriters have officially reclassified Vance Logistics as a low-risk, high-integrity entity. We’re practically the gold standard of maritime freight now."
Dorian leaned back in his leather chair, a faint, contented smile touching his lips. "It took ten years of cutting away dead weight to realize that integrity isn't a handicap, Ryan. It's the only foundation that doesn't collapse under pressure."
"Well, whatever you want to call it, the market loves it," Ryan replied, standing up and gathering his files. "I'm heading down to the Pilsen district site to check on the community center's framing progress with Elena. Do you and Marin need anything before I head out?"
