Chapter 18 - The Underground Hell

The massive, heavily abandoned subway tunnels beneath the city were incredibly damp, entirely freezing, and terrifyingly dark.
I marched completely at the absolute front of my massive, heavily armed army, holding a heavy tactical rifle tightly in my hands.
We aggressively moved through the dark, echoing concrete tunnels with flawless, completely silent military precision.
The cartel had heavily fortified the old maintenance station, foolishly thinking they were entirely safe deep underground.
I aggressively raised my hand in the freezing darkness, signaling Enzo and the elite snipers to completely take their designated positions.
I absolutely refused to negotiate, monologue, or cowardly beg for my husband's precious life.
I simply dropped my hand rapidly, violently ordering the absolute, completely overwhelming assault to officially begin.
Our heavy automatic weapons aggressively roared to life, instantly lighting up the dark tunnels with blinding, terrifying muzzle flashes.
The cartel mercenaries completely panicked, entirely overwhelmed by the sheer, unadulterated ferocity of our completely unexpected attack.
We violently breached the heavy chain-link fences, aggressively pushing completely into the center of the dark maintenance station.
I aggressively fired my heavy rifle, entirely dropping heavily armed men with the cold, lethal precision of a true monster.
I finally saw Alessandro violently chained to a heavy steel support pillar in the absolute center of the chaotic room.
He was heavily beaten, completely covered in dark blood, but his fierce, incredibly dangerous eyes were completely open and defiant.
Isabella Santiago was cowardly hiding directly behind him, pressing a heavy, silver pistol violently against his bruised temple.
"Stop right now, or I will violently blow his miserable brains entirely out!" Isabella screamed hysterically over the deafening gunfire.
I smoothly lowered my heavy rifle, completely ignoring the chaotic, bloody war violently raging in the shadows around us.
I walked slowly and confidently completely into the light, staring directly into the terrified, desperate eyes of the cartel boss.
"You have absolutely nothing left to fiercely bargain with, Isabella," I stated coldly, my voice echoing loudly in the damp tunnel.
"Your entire massive cartel is completely dead, your expensive safe houses are entirely burning, and you are completely trapped."
Alessandro looked at me with an incredibly beautiful, entirely broken smile of absolute, unfiltered adoration and overwhelming pride.
"I successfully told you my beautiful queen would absolutely come for me," Alessandro whispered darkly, spitting dark blood onto the floor.
Isabella's trembling hand aggressively tightened violently around the heavy trigger of her silver weapon.

She was entirely prepared to cowardly murder him just to successfully spite me in her final, miserable moments.
I did not give her the absolute, pathetic satisfaction of successfully finishing her highly predictable, terrifying sentence.
