"You engineered the entire paper trail," Julian whispered, his voice trembling slightly with suppressed rage. "You used the 1998 ledger as bait to force a legal transfer of ownership before the international grand jury indictments drop next month."

"The indictment was signed three days ago," Dominic said smoothly. "The federal marshals are currently executing asset seizure warrants across three continents. By dawn, the primary targets of the Department of Justice won't be residing in this estate—they'll be sitting at the top of every federal watchlist from here to Zurich."

Vince reached out and keyed the wall intercom, broadcasting a clear, crisp command to the outer perimeter. "All units, stand down the automated defense grid. Allow the federal extraction team waiting at the service road to clear the eastern gates."

Through the tall leaded glass windows facing the front drive, the flashing blue and red lights of unmarked federal vehicles suddenly cut through the thick coastal fog, turning the manicured lawns into a flashing kaleidoscope of emergency colors. The heavy gates swung open automatically, letting the federal convoy roll up to the grand terrace without firing a single shot.
