Chapter 6 - The Digital Ghost

Adrian spent the next forty-eight hours locked in the Caldwell corporate server room.

He had fired his entire board of directors, liquidated ten million dollars, and hired the best mercenary hackers on the planet.

Six computer specialists sat in the dark room, tracing the digital footprints from the Swiss shell company.

Adrian had barely slept, surviving entirely on black coffee and adrenaline.

"Mr. Caldwell, we found a breakthrough," a hacker named Silas announced, pointing at a glowing screen.

Adrian rushed over, his eyes burning from pure exhaustion.

"The payment to St. Jude's was routed through three different banks," Silas explained quickly.

"But the final destination of the paperwork leads to a private estate in upstate New York."

Adrian stared at the blurry satellite image of a massive fortress hidden deep in the snowy mountains.

"Who owns that property?" Adrian asked, his voice tight with anticipation.

"Arthur Sterling," Silas replied, pulling up a photograph of an older, stern-looking billionaire.

"He is a reclusive tech magnate who lost his wife and child in a car accident fifteen years ago."

"Publicly, he has no heirs, but tax records show massive trust funds being built for a private beneficiary."

Adrian clenched his fists until his fingernails dug deeply into his palms.

Sterling had bought Noah to replace the child he had lost.

"Prepare my private jet," Adrian ordered Marcus, who was standing by the door.

"We are flying to New York immediately."

"And Marcus," Adrian added, his eyes narrowing at the picture of the fortress.

"Bring the tactical team."

"If Arthur Sterling refuses to open his doors, we will tear his entire mansion down brick by brick."
