Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Horizon

Two years later, on a warm, sun-drenched afternoon in Riviera Maya, the turquoise waves of the Caribbean Sea lapped gently against the white sand shore.
A private beach wedding was taking place under a canopy of white orchids and palm leaves.
Mariana walked down the aisle lined with tropical flowers, wearing a magnificent, flowing white bridal gown that caught the ocean breeze. Her eyes were locked onto Mateo, who stood at the altar looking at her with tears of pure devotion and awe.
There were no toxic relatives, no hidden motives, and no fragile egos present. Surrounding them were true friends, loyal colleagues like Sofia and Gonzalo, and people who genuinely loved and respected them.
As Mariana reached the altar, Mateo took both of her hands in his, leaning in to whisper softly, "You are my empire, Mariana."
"And you are my safe harbor," Mariana replied, her voice filled with deep, unwavering love.
The minister pronounced them husband and wife under the golden afternoon sun. As Mateo pulled her into a passionate, loving kiss, the crowd cheered joyfully, their applause blending with the rhythmic melody of the ocean waves.
That evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of brilliant pink, gold, and deep purple, Mariana stood on the wooden deck of their oceanfront villa, holding a glass of wine. Mateo wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close against his warmth.
She looked down at her beautiful white dress—untorn, pristine, and glowing under the sunset.
The mother-in-law who had torn her dress to humiliate her had lost everything—her home, her status, her son's freedom, and her place in the world. The husband who had stayed silent had traded his freedom for a cold prison cell.

But Mariana had won everything that truly mattered: absolute freedom, unshakeable success, self-respect, and a real, enduring love that no one could ever destroy.
She leaned back against Mateo’s chest, taking a deep breath of the fresh ocean air, and smiled at the unbroken horizon ahead.
