Chapter 20 - THE VOWS

Six months later, the private beach in the Hamptons was transformed into a breathtaking floral paradise.

Thousands of white roses formed a massive archway overlooking the crashing, deep blue waves of the ocean.

There were no business executives, no press, and no fake high-society friends on the guest list.

Only Richard Blackwood, a few loyal staff members, and the gentle sound of a string quartet playing softly in the breeze.

Hannah walked down the sand aisle looking like a literal angel in a flowing, custom-made white lace gown.

Ethan stood at the altar, his breath completely leaving his lungs as he watched the love of his life walk toward him.

Noah stood proudly beside his father, wearing a matching black tuxedo and holding a velvet pillow with two heavy gold bands.

When Hannah finally reached the altar, Ethan took both of her hands, tears of overwhelming gratitude shining in his eyes.

"Seven years ago, I lost my soul because I wasn't strong enough to trust my own heart," Ethan vowed, his voice carrying over the waves.

"Today, I vow to spend the rest of my earthly life protecting you, loving you, and making sure you never shed another tear of sorrow."

Hannah smiled through her own happy tears, gently squeezing his large, warm hands.

"You fought through the darkness to find me, Ethan, and you pieced my broken heart back together," she whispered back.

"I love you, and I will choose you in this lifetime, and in every lifetime after this."

They exchanged the rings, sealing their tragic past firmly behind them, and stepping boldly into their bright future.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the officiant smiled warmly.

Ethan pulled Hannah into a sweeping, cinematic kiss as Noah cheered wildly and Richard wiped away a proud tear.
