Chapter 12 - The Unwanted Meeting

The abandoned steel factory on the industrial edge of the city was completely dark, smelling heavily of rusted metal and decaying ambition.

Marco walked slowly through the massive, empty warehouse, his expensive dark suit blending perfectly into the deep, suffocating shadows.

He had aggressively refused to bring an army of heavily armed soldiers with him, choosing to bring only Dante to this highly dangerous negotiation.

He completely needed Silas Thorne to understand that Marco was not operating out of fear, but out of absolute, unshakeable strength.

Silas was already waiting in the absolute center of the massive room, surrounded by ten heavily armed, incredibly nervous cartel mercenaries.

Silas was a tall, unnervingly thin man with cold, dead eyes and a cruel, arrogant smile permanently etched onto his pale face.

"The great, terrifying Marco Vitelli, completely reduced to a soft, pathetic civilian," Silas mocked loudly, his voice echoing sharply off the rusted steel walls.

Marco completely ignored the heavily armed guards, walking forward with slow, deliberate, incredibly powerful strides until he stood directly in front of the cartel boss.

"You have exactly one minute to completely explain why you aggressively trespassed on my legitimate property today, Silas," Marco stated, his voice completely devoid of any human emotion.

Silas laughed out loud, a harsh, incredibly grating sound that completely lacked any genuine humor or warmth.

"Your shipping ports are the absolute safest, cleanest routes in the entire state, Marco, and I heavily need them to move my specialized cargo," Silas demanded aggressively.

"You are completely out of the criminal game, which means you no longer have the ruthless army required to aggressively tell me no."

Marco stared deeply into Silas's cold eyes, feeling the violent, terrifying mafia king inside his mind fiercely begging to be let out of its cage.

He desperately wanted to reach out, aggressively snap Silas's neck, and violently end this miserable threat right here in the absolute dark.

But Marco violently forced the monster back down, fiercely remembering the absolute promise he had made to Jenny under the bright stars.

"My businesses are completely legitimate, and I will absolutely never allow your filthy, violent poison to flow through my ports," Marco declared softly, his voice echoing with absolute, lethal finality.

Silas's arrogant smile completely vanished, instantly replaced by a look of sheer, unadulterated venom and dark fury.

"You are a completely broken, weak old man pretending to be a saint, Marco," Silas hissed aggressively, stepping dangerously close.

"If you do not completely surrender those shipping routes by Friday night, I will violently burn your beautiful new life to the absolute ground."

Silas deliberately paused, his cold eyes gleaming with malicious, terrifying intent as he delivered his absolute final threat.

"I know exactly where your pretty little fiancé and her fragile son sleep every single night."

Marco moved with absolute, terrifying speed, a completely invisible blur of sheer, unfiltered violence in the dark room.

He aggressively grabbed Silas by the throat, violently lifting the cartel boss completely off the floor before the guards could even raise their heavy weapons.

"If you ever speak her name again, I will personally pull your dark heart completely out of your chest," Marco roared, his voice shaking the very foundations of the building.

He violently threw Silas to the dirty concrete floor, completely turning his back on the heavily armed guards with absolute, terrifying confidence.

Marco walked out of the dark factory, completely knowing that a massive, horrific war had just officially begun.
