Chapter 32 - The Unbroken Horizon

The following morning, the sun rose over Berth 14 with a brilliant, blinding radiance, signaling the true beginning of their new reality.

There were no emergency alerts, no encrypted wiretaps, no midnight visitors lurking in the shadows of the warehouses. There was only the crisp scent of salt water, the steady hum of legitimate commerce, and the quiet, unbreakable warmth of a life built on truth and devotion.

Standing together on the balcony of the penthouse suite, coffee mugs in hand, Rafe and Tessa watched the morning commuter ferries glide smoothly across the open bay toward the Atlantic. The heavy iron security gates below remained wide open, welcoming the world in with open arms.

"So, Dr. Calder-Bennett," Rafe teased gently, a rare, brilliant smile breaking across his face as he looked down at her. "What’s the agenda for today? Saving lives at the clinic, or supervising my rehabilitation exercises?"

Tessa laughed, setting her mug down on the railing and wrapping her arms securely around his neck. "Definitely physical therapy, Mr. Calder. You still owe Dr. Hayes two weeks of shoulder rotations—and I intend to enforce that prescription with extreme prejudice."

Rafe pulled her flush against him, his gray eyes shining with absolute, unyielding love. "Yes, Doctor. Whatever you order."

As the distant church bells rang out across the harbor, welcoming a brand-new day filled with endless light and infinite peace, the last shadows of the past vanished into the morning mist, leaving the Moretti-Calder legacy standing tall, triumphant, and completely free.
