Inside the executive boardroom on the seventy-sixth floor, the atmosphere was entirely transformed. Gone were the nervous whispers and fragile egos of executives like Nolan and Grant. In their place sat a handpicked team of brilliant young minds, data scientists, and engineers whom Maya had personally recruited.
Arthur sat at the head of the mahogany table, reviewing the final closing documents of the Thorne Innovations merger. He looked up, watching Maya as she confidently presented the Q3 energy pipeline projections to the board of directors.

Maya paused, looking across the polished table at the billionaire who had once casually dismissed her as invisible.
