Chapter 15 - The Corporate Trap

The Monday morning emergency board meeting was completely packed with anxious shareholders and highly aggressive corporate attorneys.
Julian Vance had arrogant, fully invited himself into the Whitmore boardroom, acting as if he already owned the massive building.
He sat casually at the long mahogany table, surrounded by his own ruthless legal team, ready to force a vicious hostile buyout.
To make matters completely worse, Julian had brought Ethan and Margaret Harrington as his star, supposedly credible witnesses.
Margaret wore a cheap, heavily discounted dress, but she kept her chin held artificially high, completely thrilled to witness Claire’s impending downfall.
Ethan looked incredibly smug, foolishly believing that his terrible forged documents were about to make him a multimillionaire once again.
When Claire finally walked into the boardroom, the entire room fell absolutely, deathly silent.
She wore a sharp, immaculate white suit, looking entirely like an avenging angel ready to deliver ultimate judgment.
Julian immediately stood up, aggressively demanding that the board of directors strip Claire of her CEO title to save the plunging stock.
He proudly slammed Ethan’s forged, fake documents onto the center of the table, loudly declaring Alexander Whitmore a ruthless fraud.
The board members began to whisper frantically among themselves, completely terrified by the heavy weight of the serious allegations.
Margaret let out a sharp, cruel laugh, loudly mocking Claire for finally being exposed as the daughter of a common thief.
Ethan puffed out his chest, stepping forward to publicly claim that his family had been deeply victimized by the Whitmores for decades.
Claire stood perfectly still, letting them dig their own massive, inescapable graves with every single arrogant word they spoke.
She looked directly at Ethan, her eyes filled with nothing but absolute, freezing pity for the pathetic man he had become.
When Julian smugly demanded her immediate resignation, Claire simply leaned forward and pressed a small silver button on the intercom.
Daniel Mercer stepped gracefully into the room, flanked by two highly intimidating armed security guards holding a heavy metal lockbox.
The corporate trap had been perfectly set, and the greedy mice were currently standing directly on the deadly trigger.
May you like
Claire smiled coldly, looking around the highly tense boardroom with absolute dominance.
It was finally time to show these pathetic vultures exactly what happens when you attempt to hunt a dragon.
