Chapter 9 - THE SYMPHONY OF WAR

The climax of the mafia war was a symphony of violence, but Dante played it with lethal precision. He didn't want a bloodbath; he wanted to dismantle the head of the snake. He found Marchesi in his office, attempting to flee. The older Don sneered, reaching for a weapon, but Dante was faster.
Through the comms, Sera heard the confrontation. She heard Dante's voice, cold and absolute. "You touched my family," Dante said. "You brought a war to my children's door." A single gunshot echoed through the earpiece. Sera stopped breathing. "Dante?" she whispered into the mic. "Dante, talk to me."
For five agonizing seconds, there was only static. Then, a heavy breath. "I'm here, mia luce," Dante's rough voice crackled through. "It's over. We're coming home." He had spared his own men, rescued her mother, and eliminated the threat that had haunted his bloodline. As he walked out of the burning compound, the sirens wailing in the distance, Dante knew one thing for certain: his life as a ruthless mob boss was finished. He had too much to lose now.
