Chapter 8 - NO RETREAT

They didn't run to Europe. They drove back to the city. Sera refused to sit on the sidelines. She used her knowledge of human psychology and sensory overload to help Dante plan the assault on Marchesi's compound. "Their security is heavily reliant on auditory sensors and tripwires," she pointed out, analyzing the blueprints Dante provided. "If you overwhelm the grid with a specific frequency, it will create a feedback loop, blinding their internal comms."
Dante looked at her, astounded. "Where did you learn to weaponize sound?" he asked. "Music therapy," she replied with a tight smile. "It's all just frequencies and nervous systems."
Leaving the twins with Dante's most trusted, vetted loyalists in a fortified vault, Dante and a small strike team infiltrated the Marchesi estate. Sera stayed in the mobile command van, coordinating the frequency jammers. Her hands shook over the keyboard, but her voice was steady in Dante's earpiece. When the jammers hit, the rival compound descended into chaos. Dante moved through the confusion like a ghost. Sera guided him past patrols, her heart in her throat, until he breached the holding room where her mother was tied to a chair.
