Chapter 8 - From Housekeeper to Queen

Six months later.
The wedding of Aleandro Moretti and Elena Rossi was recorded in New York history as the grandest event of the decade.
Held on the seaside lawn of the Long Island estate, over three hundred guests—including senators, international business leaders, and top syndicate figures—gathered under massive white floral arches overlooking the glittering Atlantic Ocean.
Inside the master suite upstairs, I stood in front of the full-length mirror, staring at my reflection in awe.
I wore a custom Vera Wang gown of ivory silk and delicate French lace, featuring a long, cascading train and a delicate diamond tiara resting upon my styled dark hair. Beside me stood Mia, now four years old, looking like a little angel in a white flower-girl dress, wearing shiny red patent-leather shoes.
A soft knock sounded at the door, and Marco stepped inside, wearing a formal black tuxedo.
"It's time, Mrs. Moretti," Marco said, smiling warmly, holding out his arm.
My heart beat with pure joy as I took his arm, holding Mia’s hand with my other as we walked down the grand marble staircase—the very staircase where my life had changed forever.
As the heavy double doors of the terrace opened, the string quartet began to play a breathtaking waltz.
I walked down the white carpet aisle, feeling the admiring gazes of hundreds of guests. But my eyes were locked entirely on the man standing at the end of the altar under an arch of white peonies and red roses.
Aleandro stood waiting for me, wearing a crisp black tuxedo. His tall, imposing frame radiated absolute dignity, but his gray eyes were soft with emotion, glistening with tears as he watched me approach.
When I reached the altar, Aleandro took my hand from Marco’s, his grip warm and protective.
He didn't wait for the priest to finish the opening prayer. He leaned down, taking Mia’s hand as well, bringing the three of us into a close circle.
"Elena," Aleandro said, his deep voice carrying clearly over the gentle ocean breeze. "I gave my life to protect this family’s honor. Today, I give my heart to protect you and our daughter. I promise to stand by you in every storm, to love you without end, and to make sure you never walk alone again."
I wiped a tear from my cheek, smiling through my joy.
"Aleandro," I replied, my voice strong and full of love. "You saved us from the darkness. You gave us a home, a purpose, and a love deeper than anything I could have ever dreamed. I am yours, completely and forever."
"By the power vested in me," the priest announced, smiling brightly, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"
Aleandro pulled me into his arms, wrapping his strong hands around my waist, lifting me off my feet as his lips claimed mine in a fierce, loving kiss while the entire audience erupted into thunderous applause and cheers.

Mia jumped up and down beside us, throwing handfuls of pink rose petals into the air. "Yay! Mommy and Daddy!"
Aleandro broke the kiss, laughing happily as he bent down and scooped Mia up into his arm, holding both of us tight against his heart.
