Chapter 6 - The Oath of Spring

One year later.
The spring sun shone bright and golden over the rolling hills of Julian’s private estate in the Hamptons. The blue Atlantic Ocean sparkled in the background, crashing gently against the cliffs below.
A grand white tent decorated with thousands of white peonies and yellow roses overlooked the water.
Inside the estate suite, Clara stood before a floor-to-ceiling mirror, dressed in a breathtaking white lace wedding gown. Her dark hair was styled in soft waves, her skin glowing with health and radiant joy. On her lapel sat a small, gold pin—her official New York Registered Nurse credential.
A gentle knock sounded at the door.
Julian walked in, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo. He looked powerful, majestic, and deeply handsome. But the moment his gray eyes caught sight of Clara in her wedding dress, his stern composure melted into pure, breathtaking adoration.
He walked over to her, stepping close, taking both of her hands in his.
"You are the most beautiful sight in this world, Clara," Julian whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
"You're not supposed to see the bride before the ceremony," Clara teased softly, her brown eyes sparkling with happiness.
"I've spent my whole life breaking rules for what I love," Julian smiled, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small, exquisite silver locket.
He opened it to reveal a tiny, black-and-white photo of her mother on one side, and a picture of the two of them on the beach on the other. He gently fastened the chain around her neck.
"So she can walk down the aisle with us today," Julian murmured gently.
Tears of pure happiness welled up in Clara's eyes. She cupped his cheek, leaning up to kiss him with deep, everlasting affection.
Moments later, under the warm sunshine and before two hundred cheering guests, Julian and Clara stood together at the altar overlooking the sea.
"One year ago," Julian said, holding Clara's hands as they exchanged their vows, his deep voice carrying over the sound of the ocean waves, "I was a man dying in a cold, dark alley, surrounded by shadows. You dropped into the dirt and showed me what true courage and love look like. You saved my life, Clara. And today, I give you my whole heart for the rest of my days."
"And I give you mine," Clara promised, her voice clear and strong. "Forever."
The minister smiled warmly. "By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"
May you like
Julian pulled Clara into his arms, lifting her up as he kissed her with deep, breathtaking passion while the entire crowd erupted into joyful applause and cheers.
The rainy alley, the dark debts, and the fears of the past were gone forever, replaced by a bright, beautiful future filled with light, purpose, and an unbreakable, eternal love.
