Chapter 8 - A Sanctuary for Three

One year later.

The cliffside garden of the DeLuca estate was bathed in golden afternoon sunlight. White roses bloomed in abundance around a marble gazebo overlooking the sparkling ocean below.

Music drifted through the warm summer air.

A small, intimate wedding was taking place on the lawn. There were no press, no business associates, and no political figures—only a handful of trusted guards standing at a respectful distance, smiling broadly.

Mia, wearing a gorgeous white lace dress and a crown of yellow daisies, stood at the altar as the flower girl, holding a basket of rose petals with absolute pride.

Walking down the aisle on a carpet of white velvet was Willow.

She was a vision of timeless grace. Her ivory silk dress trailed softly behind her, her dark hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders. She carried a bouquet of wild lilies, her face glowing with radiant, peaceful happiness.

At the end of the aisle, waiting for her, was Josiah.

He looked strikingly handsome in a charcoal tuxedo, his dark eyes shining with tears he didn't bother to hide.

When Willow reached him, Josiah took her hands in his, leaning down to whisper, “You take my breath away, Mrs. DeLuca.”

“You’re not so bad yourself, Mr. DeLuca,” she teased softly.

The minister spoke his vows, but the true promises were exchanged in the quiet, intense gaze between husband and wife.

When it came time for the rings, Josiah slid the matching gold band onto Willow’s finger, his voice echoing clearly over the cliffs.

“I used to think this world was only made of shadows,” Josiah said softly, his thumbs stroking her cheeks. “Then a quiet waitress walked into my chaos and showed me what light looks like. I am yours, Willow. Forever.”

“I pronounce you husband and wife,” the minister declared.

Josiah pulled Willow into his arms, dipping her back gently as he kissed her passionately, making Mia cheer and clap her hands wildly in the front row.

Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of crimson and gold, the three of them stood on the grand balcony of the master suite.

Mia was sitting on Josiah’s shoulders, laughing as she pointed at a sailboat on the water below. Willow stood beside them, wrapped in Josiah’s arm, her head resting comfortably against his chest.

The chaos was gone. The shadows were vanquished.

The mafia king had found his peace, the wild child had found her mother, and the invisible waitress had finally found her home.
