Chapter 4 - The Public Execution

By Monday morning at 8:00 AM, the financial world experienced a massive tectonic shift.
The news broke across Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and every major financial news channel: "Morrison Logistics CEO Ousted in Emergency Vanguard Board Action Amid $120M Embezzlement Probe."
A video recorded by one of the Vanguard security bodyguards during the Sunday night eviction—showing Diane pouring dirty water over my head while Brendan laughed, followed by the activation of Protocol 7—was leaked to TikTok and X (formerly Twitter).
The video went viral within forty-five minutes, gaining over 30 million views.
The public reaction was swift, ruthless, and absolute.
"THIS IS THE GREATEST KARMA IN HUMAN HISTORY! She was the SECRET OWNER THE WHOLE TIME?!"
"Look at the mother's face when the security chief calls her 'Chairman'! I AM DYING!"
"The husband was living off HER money while cheating on her and letting his mom throw dirty water on his pregnant wife?! TRASH!"
"The way she said 'Make it effective' gave me CHILLS! QUEEN BEHAVIOR!"
While the internet celebrated, the real nightmare began for the Morrison family.
Without Vanguard’s financial backing, the state tax authority immediately froze all remaining private bank accounts belonging to Brendan and Diane due to unpaid corporate property back-taxes totaling $4.2 million.
At 10:00 AM, Brendan showed up at the Vanguard corporate skyscraper in downtown Philadelphia, wearing the same rumpled suit from the night before, begging to see me.
He was denied entry at the turnstiles. Two armed Vanguard security guards escorted him out of the lobby into the street, where dozens of paparazzi and news reporters were waiting.

"Brendan! Is it true you were living on your wife's money for six years?!" "Brendan! Did you know she owned Vanguard when you filed for divorce?!" "Diane Morrison! How does it feel to be evicted from the house you didn't pay for?!"
Flashbulbs popped in his face as Brendan tried to cover his head with his coat, stumbling down the granite steps into the rain—a broken, bankrupt man with nowhere left to turn.
